JEWELRY PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Part - time | Remote location within Richmond, VA
The ideal candidate for our Jewelry Production Assistant position is someone who already owns and operates their own jewelry business (have a workshop and tools) and can work remotely within the Richmond area. Candidate must be available to meet weekly to discuss tasks.
Characteristics
  • Love our products & be an enthusiast of our brand
  • Have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in making jewelry, using hand tools (pliers, flex-shaft) and understand jewelry making techniques
  • Proactive, self-directed, eager to learn, extremely organized
  • Team player with great communication skills
  • Proven ability to uphold company procedures & tight deadlines with care
  • Have flexibility with hours throughout the year (10-15 hours/week now and up to 30 hours/week during busy season of November-December)
  • Willing to go above & beyond to achieve a task, no matter the situation
  • Have a desire to learn, but not to start a competitive business (OK if you already own a jewelry business) 
  • Have your own jewelry workshop/studio and tools

Responsibilities

  • Assist with production of all our custom jewelry (sanding laser cut pieces, polishing, cleaning, adding charms to chains, and bracelets)
  • Assists our design team during development phases and sample making
  • Assist with product packaging and shipping (not required but preferred)
  • Meet with team once a week to discuss tasks

Pay is competitive and dependent on experience and skill.  This position does not offer benefits at this time.

COMMUNITY MANAGER ASSISTANT
Part - time | Remote location
The ideal candidate for our Community Manager Assistant position must be digital-savvy and responsible for all communications, PR, social media, events, and content creation, among other things. While every day as a Community Manager Assistant is different, these are a few of the characteristics we are looking for.

Characteristics

  • Have exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Have strong experience with/ or the desire and capacity to learn:
    • Creative writing (experience preferred)
    • Social media marketing and analytical skills
    • MailChimp
    • Graphic Design
    • Photo editing
    • Google analytics
  • Be a self-starter. Some who can figure things out with minimal direction. 
  • Be focused and extremely organized
  • Have flexibility with hours throughout the year (5-10 hours/week now and up to 20 hours/week during busy season of November-December)

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Community Manager with content creation:
    • writing blog post, newsletters
    • writing and managing social media posts
  • Help grow company's presence through strategic online collaborations
  • Manage incoming media requests and build relationships with industry journalists; creating, executing and measuring media campaigns
  • Be in charge of customer support, answer questions however they come in (phone, e-mail, Instagram, Facebook) and manage any online feedback forums.
  • Assist the Community Manager with creating strategic marketing/communications plans and provide input  for the company’s public-facing communications
  • Use Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives
